Hyperice Normatec 3 Legs Review

50 Words or Less

The Hyperice Normatec 3 Legs is the easiest way to refresh your legs after a hard workout or long day on the course.  Air pressure massage boosts circulation, reduces soreness, and improves mobility.

Introduction

In September, I turned 40.  And, to paraphrase the great philosopher Shaquille O’Neal, “40 ain’t 30, bruh.”  I don’t recover the way I used to.  The effects of hard workouts linger longer.

Whether you’re 40 or 20 or 70, the Hyperice Normatec 3 Legs promises to be the path to getting fresher legs faster.  It’s a staple among professional athletes, so I tested it to see how it performs for the weekend warriors.

Set Up & Ease of Use

When you unbox the Hyperice Normatec 3 Legs, you’ll find the control unit, the leg sleeves, tubes, charging cables, and the instructional materials.  There’s a quick start guide, but it’s not necessary as everything sets up intuitively.  The tube connects the control unit to the leg sleeves, and the control unit has all its functions clearly labeled.

If you want to get the most out of your Normatec 3 Legs, you can download the Hyperice app.  The app connects to your control unit via Bluetooth and allows you to access more specialized programs.  Setting up a profile in the app and connecting it to your Normatec 3 takes only a couple minutes.

Effectiveness

How does the Hyperice Normatec 3 Legs make your legs feel better?  Air compression massage.  Once you slide your legs into the sleeves and start a program, the control unit pumps air into the sleeves.  The feeling is a little unusual at first – it caused a lot of nervous giggling among first time users – but I found it enjoyable.

The Normatec 3 control unit gives you a lot of ability to customize the sensation.  There are seven levels of pressure and five zones (Zone 1 is your foot, Zone 5 is your upper thigh).  You can also set the duration to anywhere from 15 to 60 minutes.  I’ve tested all seven levels of pressure, and there is a distinct difference from one level to the next.  Cranking it all the way to seven makes the Normatec 3 Legs feel like a boa constrictor.

According to Hyperice, the benefits of the Normatec 3 Legs are increased circulation, improved mobility, and reduced soreness.  I can attest to all of these benefits.  In fact, I’d say that I’m addicted.  When my legs are sore, these get me back on my feet.  Before a workout, they get me game ready.  Every time I take them off, I feel better than I did before I put them on.

Finally, it’s worth noting that the Hyperice Normatec 3 Legs is quiet.  It make a low hum while in operation, but you can have a comfortable conversation over it.  It’s not any louder than a vibrating cell phone.

Value

The Hyperice Normatec 3 legs is not cheap, retailing for $800 [please consider supporting Plugged In Golf by purchasing it HERE], but it’s one of the most effective recovery tools I’ve ever used.  If you’re a serious athlete – whatever that means to you – I think it’s worth considering making this investment in yourself.

There are also attachments for the arms ($400 for the pair) and hips/lower back ($250).

Conclusion

Whether you’re trying to walk 36 multiple days in a row, squat a personal best, or compete on any type of field, the Hyperice Normatec 3 Legs can keep you feeling fresh and ready to go.  Owning this system is like having a professional masseuse on call 24/7.
