Win a FREE Custom Fit Driver!
I’m going to keep this short and sweet. Plugged In Golf is re-launching our YouTube channel, and we’re doing so with a massive driver giveaway. We’ve partnered with Club Champion to give a lucky golfer not only a free driver fitting but also ANY driver that they get fit for. Any driver head, any shaft, any grip. That’s a prize that’s likely worth well over $1,000.

Driver video very informative
Helped a lot!!
The video was the best I’ve seen to dispell myths about drivers. I do buy a driver every year but I understand that it’s not going to give me any significant extra distance!! I just want the latest and greatest. It’s a rite of spring for me!! Club companies exist because of marketing plans. They are out for repeat customers and need to make $$$ to survive. I understand that off the top!! Golf is not just a sport, it’s also a hobby to me. I love that aspect of finding new shafts, grips and all clubs. Thanks for the video.
Cool video
Agree with many of your comments and enjoyed the directness at each point in the video. My concern with the fitting is the objectivity of the fitters seems skewed to their most profitable (highest cost) items. I would want fitters giving multiple options at different costs automatically rather than by special request.
Andy,
Why do you believe that’s true? Knowing many fitters and having been one myself, I think it’s a poor assumption. Moreover, as when buying anything, it’s incumbent on the customer to be clear about their budget needs or preferences as that’s information only they have.

Matt, my experience was similar. It seemed that the answer suggested buying a new off the rack driver ($600), throwing away the shaft, and installing a new shaft ($400), resulting in almost doubling the price including fitting fees ($200). Since those experiences, I have become a PXG fan who fits options within a range to maximize results within the expected original budget. Much more wife compatible! Lol. Thanks, Tom
Done! 🤞🏽⛳️😍 I’m a little skeptical. I mean I have a Stealth hd 12 I love! I don’t see how i could get 20 more yards. I hit over 70% fairways. But I for sure need more distance. I like to work it. Which isn’t an hd only meant for a draw 🤷🏽♂️
Can you do a video on working the ball with different driver types?
Michael,
Shot shaping is definitely on the future video list.
Best,
Matt
great video
I enjoyed the video. Educational.
Excellent video with great info. Would love to get properly fitted for next driver.
Great video with a lot of information. Now I need a fitting to try to get that extra 20 yards.
Over the last few years, I’ve been a TaylorMade devotee.
I think most people realize the hype behind the OEMs is sham marketing to sell drivers/equipment every year. Hey, if they didn’t market/sell new drivers every year, the pros would have to BUY their own equipment!! For me… I’ve been rocking the same driver for twelve years, BUT I’ve changed the shaft several times. I’m happy with the head on my driver/#3/#7 ‘woods, but I’ve figured out over the years it’s the SHAFT that is the engine of the club. I’ve been on PIGs email list for years, and am happy to see they’ll be in my YT feed from now on.
Having not being fit for a driver for many, many, years, I have still chased distance through each years new technology. Now I know better. Thanks for this very informative video.
Matt’s spot on about Driver technology. Specifics don’t change that much year over year. Despite what Callaway might like us all to think. I club-fitted through CC, and results were invaluable.
Thanks for the great content, very helpful!
I love your newsletter but it gets flooded with State Farm insurance ads which block me from reading.
Glad to see the youtube channel back, more content for the Win!
I find plugged in golf to be as close as any golf clubs reviewer can be to describing the club(s) they are reviewing as most accurate as possible. I’v purchased drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons based on plugged in golf reviews. That’s because I save mostly all your reviews in a Plugged in Golf folder in my email package. And every couple of years, l pull up a specific review if l’m in the market to purchase a used club(s) from eBay. I rarely buy new because at my age 82 and as l been playing golf 72 years, the difference in distance or accuracy is negligible. Presently l have 8 holes in one over those 72 years from high school golf competitions in Westerchester County competing in junior tournaments against 16 year olds like Butch Harmon and Doug Ford Jr, thru college golf at North Texas St University, playing with Bobby Greenwood and Reves McBree in the early 60’s, to private clubs in NY like Salem Golf Club during my working years, both Waterleafe and TPC Prestancia here in Sarasota Fl. I mention this because l do encourage some of my golfing buddies here at TPC to subscribe to Plugged in Golf solely on the basis of how accurate (as l said about) your news letter is regarding golf club(s) review. I do that when ever a buddy mentions he needs some new clubs. Anyway, I apologize for this lengthy comment – that wasn’t my intention – l got carried away. In closing, keep up the great work you do.
Regards,
Thanks, Tommy!
Outstanding. Very Helpful!!! I don’t buy any new equipment until I review it on Plugged In Golf.
Very informative video
loved the video. Sometimes ads state claims to sell products instead of what to really expect ; it is a shame that marketing and sky high costs do not mean a better product. Fittings are the only way to expect to get the best out of distance, forgiveness; and your monies worth!
Love PIG very interesting and informative.
As usual..always very informative…
Loved the info. Definitely time for a new driver
Love the history lesson on that video. I am a sucker for buzzwords each year but I am learning not everything is truly huge innovation (at least not enough to drop $600 every year or two). Thanks!
